Our Mission
We believe that academic integrity should be built on trust, not surveillance. Skriv was created to make the writing process transparent, helping teachers understand how students learn and grow as writers.
Our Story
Skriv was born in Copenhagen in 2024, founded by educators and technologists who saw a growing problem: schools were banning Google Docs due to GDPR concerns, and AI detection tools were creating more problems than they solved.
We asked ourselves: what if instead of trying to catch cheaters, we simply made the writing process visible? What if teachers could watch how a document was created, seeing every keystroke, pause, and revision?
That's the idea behind Skriv. A beautiful writing environment that students love, with full process transparency that teachers need.
